Sharing is caring :)

Just ten minutes away from Perth city, the University of Western Australia is located on the banks of the Swan River, or also known as Derbal Yerrigan, on the land of the Whadjuk Nation.

Here, the occupants of UWA are gifted with the privilege of sitting on sacred soil where Western Australian kaartdijin, or knowledge, first began. For tens of thousands of years, UWA has been a place where people gather and learn the stories and lessons passed from generation to generation of the world’s oldest continuous culture.

Today, UWA welcomes you to continue your search and sharing of wisdom with us. Students are able to take their learning beyond mere books, thanks to the cutting edge of knowledge creation and passionate lecturers equipped with real industry experience. The global impact of the university’s research and education has labelled them as a world top 100 university (QS 2022). This would mean students are joining a community filled with leaders who are nothing short of passion, intelligence and resources that are all dedicated to innovation and change.

Why Study in University of Western Australia (UWA)?

#1 Vibrant, comfortable student experience

Adjacent to the Swan River, their Perth campus is one of the most picturesque landscapes that Australia has to offer, with iconic sandstone buildings setting across the lengths of heritage-listed gardens. Students and the rest of UWA’s occupants are only ten minutes away from Perth’s main shopping and business district.

Upon campus, there will be an array of essential facilities to enjoy, including cafes, libraries, bookshops, a vibrant cultural precinct and tons of clubs and societies to join and experience student life to its fullest.

#2 Cohesive, innovative course structure

Whatever goals you may have in mind, a UWA degree will allow you entry to a world of possibilities. About forty percent of today’s jobs won’t exist in twenty years’ time (CEDA, 2015), so UWA has a belief of better preparation in terms of the careers available in the future.

UWA’s cohesive course structure is the only one of its kind in Western Australia and it’s also based on a global model. This translates into the meaning of being able to pursue your interests as well as maximising the most out of your career opportunities simultaneously.
