Top 10 Universities for Accounting & Finance in Australia

Sharing is caring :)

Accountancy is crucial as it provides updates on the financial health of the company. It advises the company of the progress and threatening problems that need to be addressed. A Bachelor of Accounting degree can lead to a wide range of careers. While typically such graduates become accountants or auditors (internal or otherwise), there are many opportunities. The accountant designation itself breaks down into several types: public accountant, management/corporate accountant, government accountant, chartered accountants (can be in private or public practice), forensic accountant and CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant).

If you’re looking to pursue a career as an accountant and gain membership with a professional accreditation body such as CPA, you might consider completing an undergraduate degree majoring in accounting. However, some grads choose to add to the effort and earn a master’s degree. There are also additional optional certifications for accountants, including CA (Chartered Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). As for careers other than accountant or auditor for graduates of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, some require additional certification (academic and/or professional).
