Community Health

Global Health

Biostatistics deal with data collection process, analysis, and translation said collected data. This can be achieved through honing expertise in computer software, public interviews, and reviewing existing public health data. This field involves working with others a lot in areas such as epidemiology, research, and policy development. 


Epidemiology is arguably the core of public health. This sector concentrates on understanding why people get sick, what groups of people are more prone to certain illnesses, and solutions to prevent the illnesses from becoming widespread. This may require established knowledge of different diseases to better understand how they are spread.


Nutrition concentrates in diet research around health related issues. This can be achieved by looking into biostatistics surrounding health and diet, then you are able to make estimations regarding social, economic, and environmental factors that may cause certain health problems. This sector demands skill sets from two different domains: public health, and techniques and ethics for management.
