Psychology is the science of behavior and mental process. A psychologist seeks to understand the behavior of people who act in certain ways and solve the issues, boosting productivity in the workplace or understand consumer behavior.
Psychologists and psychiatrists cooperate together in work to aid people with mental health conditions, but both of them have different roles. A psychologist treats a patient through psychotherapy, helping to relieve symptoms through behavioral change. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who focuses on prescribing medication and other interventions to manage mental health conditions.

Curiosity
A human mind is utterly complex and sophisticated, it is difficult to understand and diagnose a patient’s mental health without a degree of expertise in Psychology. Possessed a curious mind towards human behavior is beneficial in learning and understanding the concepts of psychology. Understanding the perceptions, motives, and behavior of the patients helps to develop an effective way to treat patients.
Research Skill
Psychology courses heavily emphasizes on research-based coursework. Whether is conducting experiments or surveys, these researches are complex and know how and where to find is crucial for the study. There are thousands of scientific journals on the internet, with information from decades of research. Ability to search and gather important information that you needed is benefitial and advantageous.
Numeracy
Although it may not seem intuitive, psychologists must have a facility with numbers. The psychologist would need to interpret large quantities of research data, understand probabilities and correlations and summarize the number and transforming it to valuable data, and applying it into practice.
