Sharing is caring :)

It’s common knowledge that one’s time spent in college is one of the most memorable years of their lives. The life that we lead at university and college introduces us to new experiences as well as things that we had not encountered before. College life may mean having fun to the maximum extent possible and going out and having a good time for some individuals. While for others, now is the moment to become serious about their careers and devote themselves wholly to their education in order to secure a better future.

One of the university facility provided in their in-campus hostel is a study space. Even you’re staying outside, you need a study space for yourself in your own room which more private. When you have your private study space, it will provides an atmosphere in which you may read as aloud as you want without feeling self-conscious about doing so, and you can even listen to music while you are doing your homework. Because the majority of students prefer to study at home, it is reasonable to have a learning area that can be arranged to accommodate a variety of learning styles.

Getting rid of distractions when you’re trying to focus on your studies might be helpful, but it does come with a few drawbacks. Therefore, in this article, we will give you some advice and suggestions on How To Set The Perfect Study Space for Exam Season!

Decorate and Organise the Space

It is essential to a productive work environment to define a specific area that is free from interruptions. If at all feasible, you should avoid using your study place for anything other than studying. By designating it as a study area, you may ensure that it will continue to be associated with education. So, to make sure you have good study space, feel free to decorate your study space based on your preferences.

Why you should have a study space that nice to look at? As a student, you will be required to spend time studying at your study spacein your room, whether it be for assignments, for online courses, or for other types of schoolwork. Your whole learning experience is profoundly influenced by the atmosphere surrounding you, which in turn may have an effect on the marks you get. If your space of study is messy and unsightly, it is likely that the thought of sitting down to work on your tasks will not be all that tempting to you. In point of fact, if you’re already seeking for a way to raise your drive, the last thing you need is another item that would discourage you.

A Good Lighting

Due to considerations such as class schedules and the times of day in which they are at their most productive, different students work at various times throughout the day. It is essential that those who want to engage in daytime learning look for a location that provides access to natural light. Creating a work area that is next to a window will allow you to take advantage of the natural light and ventilation while you are productive.

In other hand, if your study room does not have sufficient lighting, you may find that it makes you feel tired and causes your eyes to strain. Make sure the contrast on your screen is comfortable to look at, and use a tiny desk lamp to illuminate your immediate study area. For the rest of the room, use a bigger lamp or an overhead light. The use of natural light is not problematic; nevertheless, you should make sure that the desire to glance out the window does not detract from your academic efforts.

Make sure it’s Comfortable

The main factor for an effective study session is how comfortable are you sitting on your study space for the time being. To be comfortable does not need sitting in a leaning back position all the time. Pick a chair that provides both support and comfort to you. The most suitable chairs for academic pursuits provide ergonomic support, which facilitates the adoption of a natural sitting position. Because sitting in this posture lifts your spirits and increases your capacity to concentrate, you’ll be able to sail through your coursework much more quickly.

Make sure the sitting distance from your desk are midway between your waist and ribcage. This will allow your elbows to rest comfortably against the surface of the desk or table without requiring you to slouch your shoulders forward. You should also be able to put both of your feet down in a comfortable and natural position on the ground.

Enough Space and Clean

Make sure your desk have enough space for you to put everything you use for study. You will not want any distractions while you’re studying for your upcoming exam. It is important to keep your study space free of clutter. It is quite simple to amass a large number of documents and goods that you are unsure of what to do with right immediately or that you believe you may use at some point in the future which not related to your exam at all. At the very least, you need to make sure they are hidden from view. In an ideal situation, you would get rid of items that you do not need and put things that are beneficial in the appropriate locations.

If you feel like your present study table is dull and makes you feel tired, you should look into various options so that you may study in comfort. You may get a portable, foldable tiny desk that you can take with you wherever. As an example, if you suddenly feel the need to get some fresh air from your home garden, you can simply transport your little workstation with you as you have a cup of coffee in front of a nice view.

Another option is a bed desk. Yes, some people might don’t want to do their studies on bed because the distraction for them to sleep are so high. However, if some of people are too tired to sit on a chair all day and prefer to continue study on a bed, this is the best option! If you want to use your laptop or write while lying in bed, a portable bed desk will provide you the support you need.

Set your Timetable

One of the tips for you to keep your time organized is by make a physical timetable that you could see everytime you sit on your space study. It’s better to use the classic way which stick your timetable to the wall or on board (if you have one). This is for you to easily track your study progress.

You should be able to readily see a clock from where you are seated, preferably a digital clock that is simple to read and not your smartphone (otherwise you may be unable to check the time without checking your Instagram as well). It is also a good idea to maintain a review schedule close at hand so that you are constantly aware of what you should be doing and how much time you should be spending on each activity.

Control the Noise

While some individuals discover that they are more productive with some level of background noise present, others find that they are more productive with complete stillness. Regardless of your preferences, you need to make an effort to choose a location in which the level of noise will remain constant and satisfy your preferences. If you are unable to locate a location that provides the appropriate soundscape, you may put on some headphones and listen to the calming sounds of nature.
